Part of the Zerocoder platform

One tool of a platform where AI generates websites, images, video, text and documents — under one subscription.

GIFs live where video demands a click: chat reactions, feature demos in docs, memes in posts — the picture plays by itself. The converter takes up to six seconds of footage and builds a GIF with a two-pass palette: clean colors, none of the cheap-converter grain. Find the moment inside a long clip with trimming first; a static cover comes from frame grab. All tools — in one section.

Why a GIF and not video

Autoplay without sound or clicks is the GIF superpower: in a chat, ticket, doc or post it just plays. Video on the same platforms is a thumbnail with a button. The price is size: the format is old and hungry, hence the six-second cap.

Clean colors: the two-pass palette

GIF handles only 256 colors per frame. Naive conversion uses a stock palette — hence grain and dirty gradients. We do two passes: analyse the fragment and build its personal palette, then render frames with it. Sky stays sky, skin stays skin.

Feature demos for docs and support

A six-second “click here” GIF answers faster than a paragraph: record the screen, cut the moment, convert. In support tickets and onboardings such GIFs save hours of back-and-forth.

FAQ

Why 6 seconds max?

GIF is hungry: longer means tens of megabytes nobody waits for.

What's the quality?

480 px wide, 12 fps, a per-fragment palette.

Is sound kept?

GIF has no sound. Need audio — use “Trim video”.

How do I pick the moment?

Read the timecode in a player; start and duration are set in seconds.

How big is the result?

Usually 2–8 MB for six seconds — depends on motion.

Do I need an account?

The first result needs no account. Video operations are heavy, so the signed-in limit is one per day; light tools get 5 a day.

What happens to my files?

Nothing is stored: processing uses temp files deleted right after the response.

Why one run per day?

Two-pass GIF rendering is a heavy server task.

What else does Zerocoder do?

AI video, image and text generation, courses, jobs — the video utilities are one part of the Studio.
