In seconds, up to a 10-minute fragment.
Re-encode-free cutting — instant.
Source quality preserved.
Part of the Zerocoder platform
One tool of a platform where AI generates websites, images, video, text and documents — under one subscription.
A social-media moment out of a long clip, a webinar excerpt for colleagues, a screen-recording piece for a ticket — trimming covers the most common video chore. The fragment cuts without re-encoding: the stream is copied as is, quality untouched, processing takes seconds. Heavy result — run it through video compression; a short piece comes alive as a GIF; audio extracts via MP4 to MP3. All tools — in one section.
Re-encode-free cutting: why it's fast
A regular editor recomputes every frame — minutes of work and quality loss. Stream copying just moves the needed byte range into a new file: seconds for any clip, zero loss. One trade-off: cuts align to keyframes, so the start can shift a second or two.
Picking exact seconds
Open the clip in a player, find the moment, note the timecode. Take the start a second early — keyframe alignment. Duration counts from the start: a 1:30–2:00 fragment is start 90, duration 30.
A fragment for socials: what's next
Vertical platforms love short pieces: 15–60 seconds. After trimming, shrink it with compression, make a cover with frame grab and enhance it in the Zerocoder Studio.

Does quality degrade?
No: the fragment is cut without re-encoding — the video stream is copied as is. The source bitrate, resolution and sharpness are fully preserved, and there are no watermarks.
Why did the start shift?
Cutting without re-encoding aligns to keyframes, so the start can shift by up to a couple of seconds. Set the start with a small margin and the moment you need will make the cut.
What's the maximum fragment length?
Up to 10 minutes per run. That covers an episode from a webinar or podcast recording; for a longer video, trim it in several fragments and join them afterwards.
Which formats are accepted?
MP4, MOV, WebM and other common containers up to 100 MB. Phone footage, screen recordings and clips saved from Telegram or YouTube all work fine.
Is audio kept?
Yes, the audio track is copied along with the video without re-encoding. Voice, music and the sync between sound and picture stay exactly as in the source file.
Do I need an account?
The first result needs no account. After that a free sign-up applies: video operations are heavy, so the limit is one per day, while light tools allow 5 runs a day.
What happens to my files?
Nothing is stored: processing happens in temporary files on Zerocoder servers, and they are deleted right after the response. Your uploaded video never stays in storage.
How many runs per day?
One video operation per day — trimming is heavy on the server. Light tools, such as the text ones, allow 5 runs a day, and all of them are free to use.
What else does Zerocoder do?
AI video, image and text generation, plus courses and job listings. Trimming a video online is just one Studio utility — all the tools live on a single platform.
