Add a watermark to a photo free
Half-transparent text diagonally across the frame: harder to steal, authorship visible.
A mark across the whole frame
How to watermark in 4 steps
JPG, PNG or WebP up to 12 MB.
Name, brand, domain or phone — up to 60 characters.
The text is laid diagonally across the frame.
The source format is preserved.
Part of the Zerocoder platform
One tool of a platform where AI generates websites, images, video, text and documents — under one subscription.
A watermark is the simplest protection when selling products, publishing a portfolio or sending previews: scrubbing half-transparent text off the whole frame is harder than contacting the author. Font size adapts to the frame automatically; the mark repeats along the diagonal. Runs free on Zerocoder's servers, nothing stored. Before publishing, compress the photo and fit the size to the platform. The rest of the free tools are in one section; AI image generation — in the Zerocoder Studio.
Watermarks for selling products and services
Product photos get copied from listing boards — along with your shooting effort. A mark with a phone or handle makes the copy useless: the buyer still reaches you. Watermark every listing photo; send clean versions only to a real buyer on request.
Portfolios and client previews
Standard practice for photographers and designers: watermarked previews before payment, the clean file after. A half-transparent diagonal doesn't block judging the work but rules out “thanks, we'll take it from here”. A domain in the mark also brings new clients from reposts.
What a watermark does not guarantee
A mark is a barrier, not armour: corner labels get retouched away, which is why we lay the text across the whole frame with repeats. For extra protection publish a downsized copy and keep the full-resolution original to yourself — resize handles the public copy.

Can the watermark be removed?
A half-transparent diagonal across the whole frame is hard to scrub — that's the point. Simple corner labels are easier to erase.
What text should I use?
A name, handle, domain or phone — whatever identifies you. Up to 60 characters.
Can I use my logo?
Text only for now. Logo overlay is coming in an update.
Does the mark ruin the photo?
It's half-transparent: the work is visible, stealing it isn't practical. The standard preview trade-off.
Is the format preserved?
Yes: JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG.
Do I need an account?
Your first result needs no account. After that we ask for a free sign-up: signed-in users get 5 runs per day, and the Zerocoder Studio has no limits.
What happens to my files?
Nothing is stored: in-memory processing.
Can I adjust size and position?
Size adapts to the frame automatically. Position and density controls are planned.
What else does Zerocoder do?
AI image, text and video generation, courses — the watermark tool is one free utility.
