The exact size for any task

BEFOREAFTER

How to resize in 4 steps

01Upload an image

JPG, PNG or WebP up to 12 MB.

02Set the dimensions

Exact width and height — or a preset: post, story, cover.

03Click the button

With both sides set, the frame is centre-cropped — never stretched.

04Download the result

The source format is kept: JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG.

Part of the Zerocoder platform

One tool of a platform where AI generates websites, images, video, text and documents — under one subscription.

Every platform wants its own size: a 1080×1080 post, a 1080×1920 story, a 1280×720 video cover, a 1200×630 link preview. Upload an arbitrary frame and the network crops it for you — badly. This tool resizes precisely and predictably: one side means proportional scaling, two sides mean a clean centre crop. Runs free on Zerocoder's servers. Afterwards, compress the file; for custom framing there's crop, for clean enlargement — upscale. The rest of the free tools are here.

Social media sizes: presets that stay current

The presets cover the core formats: square post, vertical story, wide video cover and link preview for messengers. Pick a preset — width and height fill in automatically, one click does the rest. Publishing daily? Bookmark the page: a week's batch of cards takes a couple of minutes.

Downscale to exact pixels without stretching

The classic mistake is stretching a frame to fit, which yields mush and distorted proportions. This tool never stretches: one given side means the other is calculated proportionally; two sides mean the excess is trimmed from the centre. Faces and objects stay natural.

Enlarging small images is a different job

Downscaling loses nothing that matters, but enlarging stretches existing pixels and blurs the image. If you need to go bigger, run the file through image upscaling: the Lanczos algorithm lifts resolution up to 2× noticeably cleaner than plain stretching.

FAQ

Will the image get stretched?

No. One side — proportional scaling; two sides — a clean centre crop. No squashed faces.

Which presets are there?

Post 1080×1080, story 1080×1920, video cover 1280×720, link preview 1200×630, avatar 512×512.

Can I set width only?

Yes, height is calculated proportionally. And vice versa.

What's the maximum size?

Up to 4096 px per side on output; input files up to 12 MB.

Is the format preserved?

Yes: JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG, transparency survives.

Do I need an account?

Your first result needs no account. After that we ask for a free sign-up: signed-in users get 5 runs per day, and the Zerocoder Studio has no limits.

What happens to my files?

Nothing is stored: in-memory processing, the result comes right back.

Can it enlarge photos?

Technically yes, but the neighbouring “Upscale image” tool does clean enlargement much better.

What else does Zerocoder do?

A Studio with AI image, text and video generation, courses and jobs. Resizing is one of the free utilities.
